I use the Lego blocks also. I carry 2 set and have found that is plenty for 2 axles. Well worth the money and light weight.

Things just wear out. I would worry about the major things like the hot water heater, furnace, A/C, and frig. From what I have seen a new refig is not cheap. You maybe able to find a good 2000 or later model pretty cheap. Just MO. Good luck and welcome.
RE: Tow vehicle preference
We towed a 4000 TT with a Jeep GC for 1 year, but it had a V8 in it. It towed a small TT with no problems. The only problem I couls see is the short wheel base on some SUV.

We like the state parks also. Most are clean and quite. Most of them also have the Ranger quarters in the park for security and safety. Welcome and enjoy the trip.
